°¿¬¿ä¾à : Today we are living in a rapidly emerging new digital world enabled by infinite connected possibilities across on-line, off-line and M2M, where essentially every business is transforming to a digital business. The telecom industry is facing substantial challenges in this new digital world transformation. The existing network infrastructure is inefficient with little differentiation on user experiences, the legacy operation and closed service management systems become the bottleneck for its ever increased running OpEx and inability to adapt to market dynamics. Above all, the traditional service model based on voice, SM and best-effort broadband access are certainly no longer sustainable. Hence, the fundamental of this telecom transformation is about how quickly and seamlessly migrate from existing infrastructure, legacy operation and traditional business to a so called new converged ICT platform for the purpose of optimizing networks with enriched user experiences, simplifying operation through automation and analytics, and business-driven service enabling for creation of new value propositions in the new digital eco-system. Building such a new converged ICT platform is much based on a set of advanced disruptive technology innovations we have seen recently in the internet world, such as cloud, SDN, NFV, software-defined, big data analytics and social networking, which are clearly departing away from the traditional box-oriented and protocol-driven networking technologies. This talk will provide overview of this new wave telecom transformation in the digital age, covering market trend and business strategy to essential technologies and architectural framework, and providing real examples of current hot tractions in our industry.
